Description This is what I have been working on at collage at the moment.

We had to create a chain reaction involving every day objects for the project, and i have to say it was quite good fun animating it.
There are a coupple of dodgy sounds in it but on the whole it went pretty well

It was made in Maya 8.5 and rendered in mental ray.

Any feedback is much appreciated and if there's anything you think could be improved feel free to say

Do you believe that program Maya is better than program Flash?

I'd like do a flash with my draws but I don't know how do it

High school is sorta crappy compared to what you're doing. In Engineering, they're making us create a complex machine with at least four different simple machine. -Le sigh- If only a ping pong ball were as heavy as the ball in your animation.

Uhh...this is awesome! If no one told you yet.

Amazing animation skills. The music fits perfectly. A job well done. I love how there was never a dull moment. It was just a constant, entertaining animation.

I think that part @ second 06 could be ok if the ball was heavy like the pool balls.. but @ sec 24 it doesnt looks realistic at all, except if the ball was magnetized to the wall, hehe. Still nice work!

Now where did I leave my dominoes?

Q9R42 [2010-03-11 16:29:17 +0000 UTC]

Some of the physics seems unlikely (Like the one near the finish with the long jump), and the sound could have been improved a little (A rolling sound maybe).

But all that aside. I thought it was great. Nice static animations and models, and creative. I personally couldn't do much better.
Well done (:

DEVlANT In reply to Q9R42 [2010-03-11 16:37:44 +0000 UTC]

there is a ball rolling sound in there (i admit sound ain't my strong point and there are bits of that that i need to work on

yer, the ball jump is a little emphasised but i did that purpousfully to make the animation a little cartoony

anyway, thanks very much for the feedback

Very nice animation. Simple, yet realistic, accept when the ball stopped suddenly when it hit the first pendulum. Still, its a very good work.
