Deviot goes back to the Scorpion Stinger. He lies about allying with Mutiny, and for some reason, Trakeena calls him a traitor. She orders Villomax to kill him, before she "...gets a headache." Odd little callback to Rita. Not sure why it's here. Deviot runs and finds the Cocoon. He plans on using it for himself.
Villomax stops him and gives him a thorough beating. In the scuffle, Deviot grabs Trakeena and pulls her into the cocoon. Trakeena emerges alone,with a metallic echo in her voice and yellow eyes. She also has Deviot's wristband, and a new laugh very similar to Deviot.
Commander Stanton meanwhile is making plans to land Terra Venture on a nearby planet with an Earthlike atmosphere. The people of Terra Venture celebrate, soon they'll land on the new planet. Unfortunately, Trakeena interrupts.
Leo has a plan, he and Damon swipe some explosives, and lure Trakeena to one of the connecting tunnels. When the Scorpion Stinger breaks through, Leo plants the explosives on it's front. It damages her ship, but damage has already been done to Terra Venture. It crash lands on the moon of the nearby planet. Commander Stanton makes arrangements to evacuate Terra Venture, while Trakeena catches a bug up on her ship. She then eats it, much to the shock of Kegler. "That could have been a relative you just ate!" She belches in his face, and suddenly I'm thinking of Turbo. Villomax comes across the Stingwingers, all equipped with bombs. He tries to persuade Trakeena not to sacrifice her own soldiers, but her mind is made up. She launches an attack on Terra Venture as the episode comes to a close.

This is quite an impressive start for the finale of one of Power Rangers' most ambitious seasons. Trakeena apparently fuses with Deviot, giving her a more callous, sadistic attitude. I love the bit with Damon complaining to Leo about always being a decoy. It's also nice to finally have another line from Kegler. I didnt realize until rewatching Lost Galaxy how minor of a character he was.
Getting real close to the end, only two episodes left.
