The book in question is Split Infinity by Piers Anthony. This comic won’t make much sense if you haven’t read it, but I’m not going to explain the joke and spoil it for anyone that might want to read it.Let’s just say that friendship gets.... magical.
So, of the people that see this and have read the book, maybe two will find it funny.
One of them is me.

I'm tempted to try doing a "Twilight Reads ___" series of comics. The problem would be how to keep it visually interesting, since static panels filled with only Twilight reading a book would get repetitive. We'll see what I come up with I guess.
Edit: "This guy" refers to the main character, Stile, not the author.

This is very amusing. Not read the book (this will be remedied soon enough) but I do understand the bizarre twists that old science fiction can throw at you (having read Jack of Shadows and may well be reading the Amber series).
I would like to see more of 'Twilight Reads ___" comic strips. Doing such would create a subscriber in myself!

Split Infinity is a sci-fi/ fantasy novel by Piers Anthony. You don't have to worry about any r34 level stuff in it, ot just has some unexpected... "romantic twists" in it.

i think you could do a series of these with different facial expressions. you can do them well enough to hold the comedy of it up.

I thought about it, but it would probably end up with me just reusing the above comic as a template and changing the facial expressions accordingly. I guess it depends on if I think of anything I really like enough to do.
