Ported to OBJ from the model created by Starforce Productions for the Starfleet Command (SFC) series of video games. Original Maguellannes class design by Eric "Jackill" Kristiansen, and this model appears to be based on his schematics as published in Jackill's Starfleet Reference Manual Volume 2. This is the smaller and somewhat scaled-back cousin designwise of the Mitannic class battlecruiser (SSD). They both share similar appearances, although Maguellanes was designed with a different purpose in mind. It's an escort cruiser, not a battlecruiser or heavy destroyer, designed to perform escort duties for both space fleets and military convoys. That's part of the reason it has a turret-mounted quad phototorp module at the base of its rather unusual secondary hull, so the module alone can be moved at will to target a potential enemy rather than expend the time and energy to swing the whole ship around.

This is fanon, although it did achieve a measure of popularity with Feddie fans that were part of the original SFC online gaming community back in the day.
