To clarify things somewhat, the Enterprise rescued Mori and his parents from a space wreck and took them to where they were going. It was then that they learned how important Mori's family was among those who governed their homeworld. BTW Mori's world is never named in the original short story and I don't plan on giving it a name either.

The "tag" version of Wilbur Hatch's oft used and beloved "Humoresque" BGM was never used in any TOS episode AFAIK, although it was worked up and was ready to go at any time. You can find it among the first season general and incidental BGMs as part of the 15-CD TOS Soundtrack Collection, provided you can afford it or get it by other means (wink). It's short, using only the final "laughing" measures of the song, and was meant to be used as a end-of-act version to lead into a commercial break. That makes it perfect for use as the end-of-teaser BGM for this episode, given that as a whole it's going to be a light-hearted story. That's something STNV needs at this point, given how dark the previous episode "Marginal Existence" wound up being.
