Udaloy II, as it is known in the West, was the last and most modern destroyer class to enter production for the Soviet Navy, and only one (Admiral Chabanenko) was almost ready to launch when the Soviet Union collapsed at the end of 1991.  It had to wait until 1994 to be launched and commissioned into service once the necessary funds had been raised by the Russian Federation, the successor to the Soviet Union, to complete what little work remained.  A second partially completed Udaloy II was scrapped that same year due to a lack of funds to finish it, while a third ordered by the Soviet Union never got laid down and was subsequently cancelled by the Russian Federation.  While only the one new-build Udaloy II exists so far (Admiral Chabanenko), two older model Udaloy class destroyers (Admiral Kharlamov, Vice-Admiral Kulakov) have since been upgraded to the more versatile Udaloy II standard and more might possibly follow if the Russian Federation can ever come up with the necessary funds.  Udaloy II is a serious reworking of the original Udaloy that is widely considered to be the best all-around Cold War era Soviet Navy destroyer design of its time, given its versatility and capabilities, and even over its close cousin Sovremenny.  This reworking of the standard Udaloy into a more general purpose warship was intended to combine the best of of both Udaloy's anti-submarine warfare (ASW) and Soveremenny's anti-ship capabilities on a single hull, and had its origins in the 1970s-era Project 1155 Fregat.  To find out more about Udaloy II, follow the links below:

Be advised that I altered the textures of the original model so they would better match with the other Cold War era Soviet Navy warship models in my online Virtual Navy gallery.
