Description **WARNING LARGE FILE**

This is a step by step process tutorial of one of my fanart works of Felicia and Morrigan from the videogame series Dark Stalkers
You can see the full finished version here: [link]

Process:

1. Pencils using mechanical pencils on 11x17 copy paper.

2. Scanned into photoshop and digitally inked with wacom tablet and basic photoshop brush and pen tool. You can see I did a rework on the characters hands/paw after some feedback from fellow DA artists.

3. Base colors (Flats).

4. First quick shading pass for light source reference. Originally this didn't have a background in mind so I I just used a generic light source coming from the side.

5. Background and color balancing. I started a quick backdrop for the lovely ladies with a simple moon behind them and an ethereal mist behind them. cause its halloween-ish . I also added a rim-light from the moonshine on the edges of the characters. Since the original light source was not from the moonlight I had to actually go back and add some lighting from behind.

6. More color balancing, details and final background pass, I didn't want the image to be TOO vibrant, Dark Stalkers are supposed to be monsters and somewhat scary you know .

Hope this helps some people out there, if you have any question feel free to ask!

If only everyone was as considerate as you to show the step by step process on how to make godlike artwork. This is perfect. + I am marrying Morrigan Aensland in January. So it is nice to see someone drawing my future wife in all her awesomeness.

Thanks, I will try whenever possible to post up these process tutorials, so people will have a better understanding how I go from pencil on paper to finished product.
