Ah, now it makes a lot more sense! I tried to shrink a 500px by 500px picture to the size of a DA avatar and it just looked a mess, now I know exactly what I did wrong! Awesome! Now mayby I can actually make an avatar!

Hey Steve you said you were currently testing cs3, I
have the beta as well my friend...wanted to ask if the few changes that Adobe did make...merit installing it? Good to see your new found passion for teaching lol...I take it the layouts pretty much the same but if it's not let me know cuz I don't feel like braking out my map
Take Care,
Kris

hey...actually the layout is quite different...thats one of the biggest things they have changed in cs3....its actually quite nice. You know have a single column tool bar that can be switched back to double if you like it that way, you have one quick mask mode button now and its in the tool bar. and on the right side where your pallets are, they are now mini docks on one dock that is all scale able you can click and drag to say maybe re size your history palette smaller and make the layers part bigger and it all stays inside the dock. you can also now collapse a dock to Icons which is cool and very useful..no more dragging a palette out of the way to see one that was stuck up under it. has a new clone source pallet and new thing called maximize screen mode...which allows you to take full advantage of the workspace you have left over after making all your palettes. I messed around a little bit with the new brightness/ contrast editor...its supposed to be a lot better then the old version and not clip shadows and highlights when you adjust it ...I haven't really found a good pic to work with yet though. Thats some of the changes...I like it so far...it kinda blows my mind that they have not released a beta for MAC users though....man thats like half their customers...thats crazy. I don't use mac but id be pretty upset if I did. lol

So you haven't installed it yet? you should try it if you get bored. Its pretty cool. Let me know what you think about it.

Thanks for the info...no I haven't installed it yet, hd space is a tad low & didn't want my system to lag...hate system cleaning lol. Sounds like it's worth moving some things around for though. I'm glad I'm
not on a mac as well, because I'd be busy writing hate mail right about now lmao. Thanks for the quick run down..much appreciated...I'll give it a go when I get a chance & get back to you

haha yes I think they are already getting a lot of hate mail due to that....from what I have read in some of the photoshop forums..people are quite pissed. They should have known better...Hell go watch an adobe video tut..everyone of those guys are working on macs....blows my mind they wouldn't release it. Must be some high up secret squirrel stuff going on with the mac version..lol

Your very welcome boss...It was something i learned when it first came out and just assumed everyone else did to. Was very surprised that a lot of people didn't. I seen it in my right click menu and thought" Well hell that wasn't on cs" whats this?? ended up being very useful. Thanks again my friend.

oh my...well I do feel for you...I also had that happen to me on a piece I done by request....except sorry to say it but it happened 3 times....I was not a happy adn I actually contacted the person and told them I wasnt doing it....started 3 times from scratch..after a day of colling off..of course I done it and it ended up completely different from the original and I was very happy with it. But I do know what your talking about. Save about 5 minutes and just re save over the last piece saved so you don't have a lot of copies....it sounds like a pain but it might help.

I just recorded another tut and uploading right now...lol...We'll see ya.
