I especially liked this picture, mostly because of it's title, as I am slightly schitzoid at times, the mix between the Gaelic or Anglo-Saxon or what language Beowulf is written in together with this title I find profound meanings in. The language this is written in is like a mix between modern Norwegian and Modern English, with a touch of Norse even. I can almost read and understand it without cheating.
"Never" in Norwegian can both mean the bark on birch (singular) and "hands" (plural), and being a "bible fetishist" and all I also have a rather relativistic approach to the Tora (Law of Mosjeh) eventhough I respect every little law in it, I also read in between the lines and never and similar words have deeper meanings than just "never" to me, especially since the English word rests uppon older words, and the etymology of these kinds of words having to do with law and order etc. are often stenched in quite a bit of dogma with really strange histories and etymologies. And Jesjuah said: "You shall never swear. Let a promise be a promise." Never is a promise.... Cool. It works.
And, yes, it's a really nice piece of work, I always loved the sephia register, one of the richest scale of shades there is, together with blues and greys. I added you to my favorites and my friends list too. Mostly because your reply to my forum thread about religious (or sacred) art caught my interrest. Please feel free to stop by my gallery and if you would like to comment on the two specific paintings I refered to in the thread I would be more than happy

Ah, I thought you were talking about the typography, not the actual text. My apologies. The reason was purely aesthetic. The shape of the format of the text somewhat ressembled the shape of the butterfly wings, so I used it to take advantage of that particular situation.

Well, I think it was a beautiful choice, and is a great piece of work. Sorry if I was over zealous in my "proof." Just an old scholarly habit that is dying hard.
