The first bracer design I came up with. Finally got around to it making it ^.^ 'course, now I actually feel capable of doing justice to the finer detail. Somewhat Lovecraft-inspired, in case ya couldn't tell

That's beautiful. It is something one must lace and unlace to put on, or once it is laced does one just slide it over the hand?

The upper half remains laced while the lower portion (closer to the wrist) must be laced each time it's worn. Makes for an easier wear.
