Great capture! You've made full use of the wide angle, and nicely framed the focal point with the hole in the fence, while keeping a large depth.

That's a great shot and the perspective and technique is right on but most of all I liked your choice of subject-matter (NY through a torn fence)... Good job!

Wicked point of view... this really takes creativity one step further! I hope you sell a lot of prints of this , as the detail, colour and composition really rock. Nice to see the horizon line super straight!
I'm glad too, to see another film user! Fuji slide film RULES!

How did you get both the city and the fence in focus?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

dmack In reply to rccollector13 [2004-04-02 17:29:56 +0000 UTC]

Thanks for commenting.
First of all, a wide angle lens gives you more depth of field automatically.
That, together with an 8 second exposure and a 22 F-stop gave me enough depth to get the whole scene in focus.

Absolutely breathtaking. I had a dream I was in New York last night... which is weird, 'cause I've never been there. Anyways, it wasn't anywhere near as nice as this. Excellent job.

The framing from the fence is the foreground is great, and so are the colors in the sky. The photo is a bit grainy, and I would have liked to see it with more detail.

Have to say, I Love the shot - the colour of the sky above the city is just amazing! Looking through the fence also helps to set the picture off!
