Making an animated gifthis is a video tutorial on how to make an animated gif from scratch for this site. its very basic so if you already know how to do it i wouldn't watch it.
its a .swf file about 4mb so it will load in your browser window, it may take a long time if your a dialup user (get high speed if you are...) otherwise thats about it, enjoy!
please comment as i would like to hear what you think good/bad.

well u just saved me so much time!!! people always keep asking me "how do u do it? how is this done? what programs?" but here it is! the directions in video form! yes! i will never have to explain ever again! hahahahaha!!!!

I don't get it... if you from Photoshop to ImageReady, how do you make it an animated gif.... If I go from Photoshop to ImageReady I only see the image and not that where you can see with pictures you have for the animation.
can you help me?

do a search for adobe illustrator tutorials or flash tuturials i recall finding quite a few on the web when i was learning (i believe it was on [link] under 'learning' or something) if there is something specific you want to learn just ask!

I found your link in ~Luck13 's journal and I just so happen to be motivated to maybe make my own animated avatar!
Thanks for taking the time to create this tutorial. Very basic, good for me, and simple. It was good because it let me see you you can easily create the image/text/whatever in ps then hit edit in IR and get started. Good deal. really do appreciate people like you who contribute these tutorials to the community. Maybe I'll be back soon to show you what I come up with

Right on man, well, I used it so gotta thank you. With some experimentation I came up with my current avatar! woohoo! I am stoked!! Oh and if I have tutorial ideas I'll let you know
