thanks Henrik!
this was my first try with Saunders Waterford CP... have you used this paper for your watercolour artwork?
It's such a great paper... smoother than Arches...
Wow, I am flashed

Hi Dominik..
I have mainly used Hahnenmuhle paper, 300 g, which I find easy to work with. Tried Canson as Well - more tricky, difficult to make corrections, difficult to lift off pigment , if needed.
Anyway, itβs probably not the paper ,nor the number or quality of your brushes thatβs the main determinator of the outcome in the end - more important is whatβs going on between the ears..π€
But of course, professional tools and colors facilitates the process..

ok... i only tried Hahnenmuehle Brittany and the great watercolour sketchingbooks from Hahnenmuehle and I really like those both.
But when working wet in wet on the cotton papers they seem to stay better streched.
On the other hand it's easier to remove pigment from any cellulose paper (like the most Hahnenmuehle).
So finally it's like choosing between a Guiness or a Paulaner Weissbier.... both are good but in different ways
Have a nice week

Thank you Annette,
yeah maybe a bit surprising but... it's fun inbetween to try different things.
It's actually the birthdaycard for my wife... she loves chameleons
However... Annette it was the first time I was using Saunders Waterford cold pressed (NOT/Grain Fin)...I tell you it is absolutely amazing... I am pretty much sure I'll do more with Saunders paper in the future.
If you haven't tried this paper allready I warmely recommend it to you as I know what kins of watercolours you are making...
cheers

Okay, I'll keep my eyes open for it. Can't say I've seen it before.
Happy birthday to your wife!

What paper do you use mostly?

Currently, to save money, I'm using the backs of not-very-good paintings I did last year, lol.
I've used The Langton fairly frequently; it's a brand CassArt in Glasgow has and it's affordable.

ok... I see... well, I haven't heard of Langton here on the continent.
However... I start realizing how big the difference between cellulosepaper and 100% cotton paper is.
I am using both... depending on what I intend to do in a watercolour painting.
However... Saunders comes from the St. Cuthberthsmill which is at home in Somerset.... so it shouldn't be a problem to get in the UK I suppose.
In Zurich I can buy single sheets of 56 x 75 cm.... a good thing just to try new papers.
