Description

Aetherea gripped the wooden bar of the slave wagon as it bounced across the desolate plain. It had been weeks since the raiders surprised her in her somewhat isolated cottage. Though she put up a fight, Aetherea was not a warrior and she was quickly overwhelmed and taken captive. Since then she had been confined to this small wagon mounted cage as she was transported over the mountains. She was released only three times a day, and then she was securely bound as she was fed and took care of her personal needs. She knew that her destination was the slave market of Krinol and she guessed that meant a week or more journey still to come. She was not naïve, she knew that going to Krinol was the one thing that was saving her. The slavers of Krinol put a premium on their slaves being fresh into captivity –unmarked, unabused, and most importantly, unused. That's if the seller wanted top price. So, thus far, she was relatively well treated. That would not last long after she was sold. Her only hope was rescue, and for that she was completely reliant on her girlfriend, the Royal Ranger Denna. It was a race against time.
