Anyway, are there any maps on this guy already or is EVERYTHING modelled? Like the teeny rivets and things. O_O

All you can see here is 100% modelled - no bump maps... BUT I also have him already painted (well what I finished so far) and there are a few bump maps here and there... but just for small details so they are easy to miss. I haven't posted a painted version here on DA as I consider clay to be the best way for showing wip... and maybe not spoiling everything heh

Well... it's mostly fan character as it's a combiner that never would exists in the canon... but the 3 robots that he's "composed" off are *sort of* from the ROTF... or you can say that they are my source of inspiration
I'm fairly sure that you will recognize at least ONE robot after you see the paint job ...

i like the look of this mech moreso than your others for several reasons. Mainly, you've added some thickness to the plating that covers the gubbinz. Your other mechs looked like they were covered in millimeter sheets of aluminum, but this one looks like hes got some nice chunks of steel covering it.
I look forward to progress on this.
