Description
So I am making a custom Magic: The Gathering set in MSE called "Nightfall in Equestria." And I have invented a new type of artifact: "Artifact -- Book" which I will be making use of. Aaaaand I needed some art, so here we are.The Pyromancer's Journal was written by Pyre Valor, the Fireheart (a character from the Upheaval fanfic series, which is goddamn amazing. I highly suggest reading it.)

[I imagine it'd be sort of like inter-service rivalries in RL militaries, or even fanbase rivalries for sports teams.]

[Since Cronomancers control time, I can see them not as having rivals with other disciplines, but among themselves. Time loops to adjust variables/try alternatives vs. ret-conning something altogether, for instance.]
[Necromancers have an easy rival in Healing Specialists ("Revive Kills Zombie" and all that) . And Monks. ...And a lot of others, actually; don't see the poor chumps as being particularly popular. XD]

I like the metal bindings you've done and the details on the enormous lock. They really mark the book as something special and powerful. The smokey effects in the background gives a feeling that the book has somehow just been used, which is a nice touch. It's a little too fancy for a book that a colt would give his foalhood friend as a present so I'm going to think of it as a more recent one that Pyre Valor kept with her instead of the one she left behind in her old home.
All in all, nice work.
