This is a new thumbnail for the Ada, Wait! REMusical. I actually hated the original art ever since it was uploaded, but I kept forgetting to ever do anything about it. Now that I had to make a new thumbnail for Supporting REMusicals , there was no excuse to not make this one look better in the process!
And god dammit, Ada still won't wait.

The funny thing about Ada Wong IMO is that she's a total Dragon Lady trope (basically an Asian femme fatale stereotype). Some people consider the Dragon Lady trope to be a tad offensive and stereotypical of Asian women yet that never stops Japanese writers (who ARE Asian) from using this trope a lot in video games and animation themselves.
Other examples of this would be Fong Ling in Resident Evil: Dead Aim (who was pretty much an Ada copycat), Mei Ying from Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb, Nancy Makuhari from the Read or Die Anime (who was revealed to be a clone of convicted Nazi spy Mata Hari), and of course the female villain who started this trope herself in the Terry and the Pirates comic books (who's actual name was "The Dragon Lady").

Also if you want a (somewhat) Japanese example look no further than Yoko Suzuki from Resident Evil Outbreak! She may not have been particularly seductive or dangerous but because she was the game's only Asian character and she was female they had to make SOMETHING about her mysterious so they added that plot about her really being an Umbrella researcher guising as a college student. So basically she was Dragon Lady Decaf Lite!

Also I guess the thing that made Yoko stand out in my mind is that she really wasnt as innocent as she appeared to be in the game when you think about it. Being an Umbrella researcher she most likely did a lot of illegal experiments on human test subjects and knew exactly what was causing the outbreak in raccoon city more than she let on also as the character Monica pointed out in the Below Freezing Point level her playing the part of a helpless innocent young girl was basically just her defense mechanism to avoid trouble. That's why Yoko was my favorite character in outbreak because this gave her a bit more depth than the other characters IMO.

funny thing, I've been playing Project X Zone 2 where Leon in the game too this time,
then some B.O.Ws show up he say to Ada "Ada, we got to do something about those B.O.Ws"
and Ada's reply is "I am, I'm ignoring them, see you around Leon" and off she goes

I always found the Leon and Ada stuff kind of comically cringeworthy in RE2, especially since it' either came across as over the top, flat or trying to hard to be serious at various points which is funny as hell as the rest of RE2 is an improvement over RE Classic in terms of dialogue given that RE Classic had really horrible voice acting and terrible translation although that has a charm of it's own.

I still laugh whenever I play Remake HD if I'm Jill since I wait for that first zombie to come out after Jill.
Barry's RE Classic line "watch out he's insane" with it's really bad delivery keeps playing in my head rather then the newer dialogue 
When RE2 Remake comes out they totally need to give Leon a unlockable skin where he wears a doormat! given that Claire and Ada do walk all over him in RE2

Speaking of the RE2 Remake (if and when it happens, I'm assuming it is from what I've heard) I wonder how much will change and if a RE3 remake is a possibility at some point, Code Veronica doesn't need one as it's aged pretty well but RE3 hasn't nor has RE2.
I'm hopping they keep the story line as been Claire A and Leon B because other wise his thing with Ada and Sherry's regeneration she gained from the G-Virus embryo that is displayed in 6 don't make sense at all.
Then again I don't like what happened with 6 so maybe that's not a bad thing.

Honestly, I hope not much. Or at least, only as much as the original REmake did. Still the same game, but with extra sensible areas and stuff to completely mess with the veterans. I think if they do it right and it does well, there may be a good shot for an RE3 Remake as well, though I'm sure it would take a few number of years before it would be released (RE7 would take priority I imagine).

Yeah I don't want to much changed either although I wouldn't mind the RCPD been either a more modern structure and like a proper police department or actually looking like a former art musem as it was said to be.
After all they actually made the Spencer Mansion properly horrific and scary in Remake.
The city streets bit on the way to the RCPD and/or the sewers between the station and Birkin's lab been extended although not to much might be cool, and maybe Crimson Heads

There's a lot of potential for add some new rooms and design to the RPD to make it feel like a familiar but fresh experience. Oh man, I can only hope that they don't fuck this up!
