Description These highly aggressive fish-like arthropods inhabit the waters surrounding the island of Okoto. They are extremely territorial and will charge at anything that enters their domain. The barbs on their tails are laced with a potent neuro-toxin which can cripple even the biggest Striders. Their tough armoured hides make for a good substitute for Protosteel, if you can get close enough to kill one that is. They are however very slow swimmers, which makes spotting them easy. Fried Spikefish is a common delicacy on Okoto, the taste being described as "chewy and full of flavour".

I just gave the last one as an offering to the Earth Village Elders... Whatever I'll go hunt for some more.

You don't need to buy gear, just barter down at the fishing village.

What did you try to barter with?

Lava rocks, it's a good currency in the volcano towns

That would explain it. The Water Villagers love bartering for all the various jungle fruit that grow in said region, that and tools from the Stone Region.

Do not fret! I'll be showcasing the more docile subspecies soon, so if you just want a fun fishing experience you can wait for that.

I love how you used those ball-joints for eyes. Gives it an anglerfish look.

This is pretty cool, the mouth reminds me of how a certain fish keeps its mouth open and wait till its prey wanders into its mouth then eats it whole
