She absolutely captured perfectly what I was trying to imagine in my head for part of Hotaru's story. Stop and Listen, Now! Pt 1
Hotaru and her team limped into the passage that lead to the Hidden Sands Village, their mission was complete and though it had taken a turn for the worse at points they had managed to overcome it. Takuma supported a good part of Sachio’s weight even as he would occasionally support Hotaru’s elbow. They had known even as they likely appeared on the horizon that word would have been sent back to the leaders of the Village of their return. So it was no great surprise when Temari appeared walking towards them a look of resignation coming to her face as she looked over the trio. Shaking her head “It is like the three of you are just incapable of completing a mission without looking like genin on their first real mission.”
Sachio smiled “Oh come on it is not always that bad.” Temari shook her head and looked at Hotaru “Did you get the information.” Hotaru nodded and reaching in a bag pulled two scrolls from the link for the Fanfic.

This will in time go up along with a chapter from Hotaru's story. In short this is the point that after two years of the pair of them knowing that there was an affection growing between them, but Hotaru constantly giving reasons why it just could never work, that it was just not in the cards for them no matter how they both felt. None of which Gaara saw or felt were reasons they should not try. Finally Temari fed up with the cat and mouse game sets a trap for Hotaru, so that Gaara can corner her alone to get her to make a definitive choice. Trapped by Gaara, forced to deal directly with him with no escape she realizes that her reasons do not hold as much water. She finally consents to giving it a try.
