UNDERTALE is an absolutely amazing game. I just finished one of the endings and felt motivated to draw some more fanart. If you are a fan of quirky RPGs like Earthbound, you absolutely owe it to yourself to pick up this game.Here's the main character in the style of MOTHER 4! More fanart of a similar nature may follow.

Seems like a good start! I'd recommend looking at lots of sprites from MOTHER 4, since that's what these are based off of. My main recommendation would be to go for some lighter outlines and make your colors a little less intense like the reds and purples.

ASEprite! It's a great pixel art tool that supports layered animations and indexed palettes.
...I would like the free version, but it seems that was recently taken down and replaced with a no-save trial. If you want to give the program a shot. I guess you could paste your work into another file when you're done.

Yep. When I played (and replayed and replayed) the demo back in '13, one of the first things I wanted to do was improve on the graphics. I really wish Temmie had put the same amount of effort into the game proper that went into the intro sequence art.
