Delivery pilot for Searle Custom Yacht Crafters she delivers the finished fancy space yachts to their owners. Hired and kept on for her ability to keep company secrets and piloting ability, she is considered to be SCYC’s best and most trusted pilot.

She was born to a huge family of farmers but decided that it wasn’t the life for her. She loves her job because she gets a lot of quiet time alone, hates it because she’s basically an indentured servant of the company. She lives at their space station and a lot of her pay gets deducted for room and board, making it hard to save up. She dreams of having her own delivery service with her own ship.

She has a very low opinion of her company's clients and believes that the ridiculously rich are also ridiculously insane, but hasn't sorted out if they're crazy because they're rich or that you have to be crazy to become rich. Either way, they've got more money than brains in her opinion (and Jovian does NOT help her view of the rich.)

In the Guess Who picture - Ioana is waiting for her assignment and she's getting a bit bored sitting there with nothing to do on the space station, so she's doing a little research on the best way to start getting her own business started. This assignment is odd in that the owner specifically requested SCYC's best and most trusted pilot early on in the construction phase to deliver the finished ship. This meant Ioana was on standby for this particular project until its completion. She's sitting in the pilot waiting room, bags packed and ready to go the second the ship is finally done(it's going through the final phases at this point) and then she can be off to Earth to deliver The Lady to it's owner. The image behind her is the planet that the company space station is orbiting, it's a view window. The sign to the left is the status of the other company pilots (which shows how busy the company is). The signs to the right are the standard company mission and the warning that pilots must maintain radio silence unless it's a company defined emergency. The company defines an emergency if the delivery or pilot are in serious danger that the pilot cannot manage on their own. No other times may there be contact with the company. This is to keep the ships from being targeted by pirates and thieves. Other deterrents include false shells, odd travel routes, and use of force if necessary.
