Gene Roddenberry was right in saying that V'Ger's home planet may indeed have been the Borg homeworld because if you look at the vessel it does look like something that the Borg would have a hand in making.

A Beautifully rendered peice, its not often you see this robot rendered at all, just normally the power field that surrounds it and those that I have seen done have been terribly textured as if little or no thought went into the textures just the very basic hull shapes. This on the other hand just shows how with a little time and attention to detail what magic can be accomplished. Very well done indeed
