MechaGodzilla was not the first robotic clone, but it was indeed one that popularized the “2 doppelgängers for the price of one” trope ever since Godzilla vs Mechagodzilla in 1974.
I’ve decided to take and combine several aspects from its designs in existing eras - the sharpness and simplicity of the Showa iteration, some of the sleek finish from the 1993 Heisei version (Godzilla VS Mechagodzilla 2), as well as Kiryu (Godzilla Against Mechagodzilla (2002) and Tokyo SOS (2003)).
