OK, let me explain the story. I was on the bus to school, staring out the window, thinking about how much I wish I had a driver's license, when I saw this tree right behind the barrier. It caught my eye because someone had nailed a picture frame to it. Nothing in it-just an empty picture frame.
Needless to say everyone thought I was crazy. But then I checked every time I passed by it, and I was indeed quite sane! I shortly thereafter began to obsess about it and pointed it out to everyone when I drove past it (after I finally did get my license). I wondered just who put it up there, and why, and what would be in that frame if it weren't empty? I then devoted my very first etching to my tree.
