Description

This is the earth, a billion years since the last human like ours walked on its surface, the forces of nature have transformed its surface so that is no longer the world we once recognized, it is literally an alien planet …

What?

Did you expect a dry and barren planet devoid of life and almost at the point of its doom?

Well, this will not be the same old tale of a decaying planet; there will be some surprises, which have left their mark on this new Earth, and of course, the peculiar fate different of the most known. So far, people know what this tale and how is going one, knows some things, some places, however, it has only been the tip of the iceberg, and this is the culmination of things to come.

Someone once said: “It is not the destination, but the trip that matters”, and this planet, ladies and gentlemen, is the destination, with a huge and far trip, with all its players together, waiting to be unveiled.

This is the future is far, and you friends, are welcome.

The Moon still looks the same.
How are the human artifacts on it surface? Still recognizable?

I must say I did not see reasons to have great changes, has been almost few superficial changes of great magnitude from the last 2 billion years. Also for the distance is not very noticeable, but closer to it certain changes such as the existence of new impact craters.
Most of the human artifact are now pieces for the moonquakes and microasteroids, even though there are some human objects "fossilized" in certain areas, from various abandoned human colonies.

I also thought that maybe it should be further from Earth. But I see Andromeda is nearer in the image (I am guessing that is the small galaxy that can be seen?).

I'm pretty sure it's Andromeda. It's in collision course towards the Milky Way right now and they will merge in, like, 2 billion years. We are looking at it midway to their encounter.
