Description
This was the other piece I created while at =HotRodZombie s house at the weekend. I started it at about 10pm on Saturday night and finished it about 3am Sunday morning.... Crazy pixieEDIT: This is =seamonkeycircus s description of this piece and it was so cool I thought I had to add it to the description... "Like the gorgeous guts of a professional hula-hooper as, in a moment of utter glory, they balance 20 hoops in perfect symmetry on every part of their anatomy. ...Awesome!! Cheers sweetie

Gorgeous design!!! I know this is an abstract though, but when I look at it, I see a sea-horse type creature. It's very cool! ~E.

Thank you. I noticed you're a big fan of monotone work rather than colour, not only in your own work but also in the work of others.

Yes. To tell you the truth I am a little colourblind. But I do appreciate alot of colourful art.

again, having seen this created before my eyes i have to say it twice - on here and in real 3 - it's amazing, altho i hope no-one else see's your work after i started the new linears (65 onwards) as they must be able to tell the similarities between the two.
i know it's a shocker but i feel i have to critique you now - because i can see a flaw in your otherwise perfect abstract. i think that your shading needs to be more fluid and in keeping with the pieces around pieces, for example: you have the two corners (lower right and upper left) in cacophonous glory going from dark to light - culminating in the middle in dark again, but i think you could have benefitted from using the same shading style (i.e. cross hatching or straight lines going in the same direction) throughout, as it is the 2nd and 3rd pieces in each corner seem disjointed.
it still doesn;t take away from the whole (bloody jealousy seething) piece and i still wish i could draw with a pen as fluidly as your fine self
but still (hmmmm..... sounds a bit scripted - better throw in a few uncouth words to let you know it's me) shadings a c*nt innit!!

Uncouth words at the end that was a classic way to end a good piece of constructive criticism, you crack me up!!!
I always find it interesting to listen to what other artists have to say about my work (before I tell them to f*** off and mind their own business!!! hehehe ). I think this is where yours and my artistic preferences come into play. I specifically chose to draw the cross-hatching and shading going in increasingly slanted angles as I thought it decreased the flatness of the piece. You know me Matt, I have an issure with exceptionally flat work. I don't mind it with other people but I try to avoid it in my own pieces. I looked at the piece again and I totally see what you're getting at. If you look at other shapes within the piece, the shading generally follows the shapes rather than going 'against the grain' so-to-speak, does that make sense? I think that's just me being weird, but I like to follow the lines and contours of shapes.
Cheers for the crit though, always appreciated xxx

Hahahahaha that's such a kickass description I added it to the actual image description just now! I love all the different things different people can see in a work of art. I worked on that for about five hours and never once did I see a professional hula hooper, but now I totally can!! Priceless!

Pixie, seeing the amount of work that went into this was amazing. I'm really liking this style - tis nice to see some monotonal work in your gallery too - all that colour was making me feel sick! heheh
Again, you gotta full-view to avoid being the fool!
