*LadyoftheGeneral : I wanted to ask Threnody why she's sometimes combined with Cyra and...Ammut? And which she prefers, being on her own, or being in that body....who's mind is in control in that form?And, um, because I'm dumb, what exactly ARE you, Threnody?

*exhales heavily, continues in more level, but rather bitter tone*
In such a scenario, a demon would take control. Even I couldn't stop it for long. If you offer your body to a monster you cannot really expect to get it back.
...And what am I?
...I suppose the best word I could give you is 'demon'... somewhat ironic. I'm not of the same breed as ammut, by far. In fact, there are few you could consider more at war with such things as us... hmm... as myself.
But I don't have a given species or race to speak of. ...I doubt any other descriptor would hold much meaning.
But, now I am... curious...
What are you, and what do you know of such a species?"

Uh... yeah. Thren is rather impolite and full of herself, ain't she?
But she has no connection to the concept mentioned, The Sick , anymore... so she's decidedly confused and a bit alarmed by the knowledge and perceived accusation that question contained.
I SHOULD NOT HAVE SAID CYRA WOULD ANSWER FIRST. LOOK WHAT THAT DID, LOL.
Oh, yeah, Threnody's hair+ Transparency+ TRACKPAD= Major pain in the butt.
...I realised she looks better with a white background after looking between the lovely error white dA is right now, and a mock-up of dA green I did in Photoshop. Pardon the edit, but I do believe this is an improvement. c':>
P.S. dA is still majorly messed up for me, soo... aaaah.
I hope it gets sorted soon because this is ridiculous. Eek.

Threnody seems like one child I should really get to know.
She appears to be full of herself but there are people like that,
so I can understand where she is coming from.
As to deviantART....it's giving me quite a bit of trouble as well.

I guess at times it's a good thing to have someone ask a child a question

Oh, thank you! I didn't mention it, but... I actually drew this on paper that is just terrible with my markers, heh. I had to be pretty careful so they didn't just bleed everywhere.
And, if you want your image to show the colour of the page it is on, you simply need to have an absence of colour in the art where you would like it to be transparent. In most programs, save for ms paint, you just use the eraser tool. This does not work on "Background" layers, a.k.a locked layers, which scanned imaged usually open as. If you are opening a scanned image then you should duplicate the Background layer, then delete the original locked one.
Right now I am using the trackpad of this laptop, so it's hard to do a good job. I am using the select tool on the white of the paper and then deleting it, for Threnody's hair that doesn't work too well, so I have to use the trackpad to erase around it bit by bit.

If you want the background to be specifically "dA green" no matter where you put it, I would recommend taking a screenshot and opening it in whatever program you use, then using the ink dropper tool on whatever colour you want.

I started off using just Prismascolour pencils, too, actually. The markers are wonderful once you get used to them. c:
Laurentian is a ridiculously cheap brand that can actually work alright with the Prisma markers when you are careful. It can be very useful.

well that's good : ) i just don't trust myself with them because i'm basically a perfectionist when it comes to my work and i know if i put a color down and don't like it, i can't change it. but i really want to get the white or no color prisma marker cause i've seen it used on the pencils and it takes out all the little spots the pencils will not cover and makes the color really smooth

Yeah, the blender markers are really good for that. You can get great effects with them.

Totally understandable.
Sometimes art stores have open stock, so you might be able to give them a try and see what your initial firsthand impression is should you ever wish.
...But, pencil art is great on its own, of course. n_n

I love the way you have her bonemask, and your anatomy with her coloring is very smexy. I love how nicely you put in her detail with all that lovely linework along with the shadowing and shading in her.
the neck looks fantastic and wow really all the anatomy is perfect, the tummy, bust, thighs. I mean you did an amazing job with her I love it.
I love the blade tail and how you even put that engraved pattern on her spear.
