Hello everyone!This was an out-of-nowhere piece. I had played Ocarina of Time for several hours on Sunday and was in the mood to draw, but didn't know what. So I just doodled a bunch and the sketch for this came out.
I went into Illustrator and vectored it, which didn't take particularly long. I like it when that happens. XD
Anyway, I thought the moody color choices were interesting and I hope you feel the same way. Enjoy and Merry Christmas!

Great color choices. I also love that the wings are squared rather than pointed feathers. The expression really matches the mood of the piece. I also like the lines in the sky connecting the stars and moon.

Thank you so much! I'm glad to see someone digging what I did to the sky. The setting of this piece is a setting that existed in Wildflowers: it's the point of the Earth so close to the heavens, you can see cracks in the sky. Kinda took a more graphical approach to it. ;D

When I first looked at the thumbnail, I thought he was in a green house type of building, but when I did full view, I saw it was the sky. I love your description of it and it totally makes sense.

When you say that, are you asking if they're just lighter and darker versions of one tan? Because for the most part, I think so (can't quite remember though).

Yeah, that's what I mean. At Ringling value means the lightness or darkness of the color. It looks like there are about 3 basic colors and then value changes to them is what I meant. I like it.
