First mention of Otto's name in that first panel.
So... Otto's doing extra work for free? That's kinda odd. Maybe he's just married to his work or something.
Poor doughnut never got to meet its ultimate purpose. ;_; Doesn't your heart just explode when you drop something tasty on a dirty floor and you have to throw it away?
He works in a pretty average building. When you think about it, most scientists work in real average looking places.

Aw, sucks when you have to throw away good food like that. XD I had to throw away a cookie the other day because I dropped it on the parking lot.

Except for that one episode of Simpsons where homer accidentally built a time-traveling toaster and one of the alternate realities revealed his family living in the lap of luxury, obviously wealthy. Then, he asks Marge for a doughnut- "What's a doughnut?" she asks. Homer merely screams, dashes back to the basement, and activates the toaster again. Meanwhile- Marge looks out the window as doughnuts begin raining from the sky in all their many varieties! Quoth Marge- "Oh, it's raining again." Ahh, lost opportunities... Additionally, there were even doughnuts in Hell! At least, until Homer managed to eat them all as part of his 'torture'... He must've gotten the wrong punishment!
