awesome! what photoshop do u use? this came in very helpful! i always wondered how ppl made them! except with those ellaborate ones.. wouldnt they take forever!?

what photoshop did you use? i have photoshopCS3 and i don't see any "pencil" tool O_O

Click and hold your Paintbrush tool- a pop-up will appear and Pencil will be a hidden option.

in the animation bar in the bottom left corner you see "once" click on it to change it to "forever"

You just have to make your frames as layers and then you can save the whole thing as an *.gif-file. There you have to choose wether you want it animated or not.
