Description
Yay! My first step in creating more original creatures to draw and sell as *akelataka and ^Katmomma suggested. Can you guess which Pokemon I referenced for this? *hint: it is not an Eeveelution*
Though I will admit Katmomma did say I should not reference Pokemon. I just needed something to bounce ideas off of.
I had copper on the mind when I designed the creature. No name for it though as of yet.

Personally, I think it looks really neat. Also, pokΓ©mon are so fun to manipulate, so I don't see a problem as using them for a reference. Your puppy has something of a resemblance to Bronzong, but in no way is it blatantly obvious.
Anyway, loooving the copper theme, and the creature in general. :3

I think it looks like a very cool creature design. You can really see the "copper" theme there. Nice job on the pose and the details in the rock, too.

Reference? I'm tempted to say a fennec, because of the ears or maybe a raccoon-dog, because of the tail.
I love its design and that pose. The colors and those markings are so pretty.

Actually, I mean Pokemon inspiration. I did not reference anything else besides that. Hee hee. ^^

I know you said that this isn't Pokemon-related and wasn't referenced from an Eeveelution, but it still really looks like one. Maybe I'm just so accustomed to you drawing Eeveelution-related things that any vulpine/canine-ish critter in your style reminds me of one. Though, the Glaceon-esque head dealies and Umbreon-like rings aren't helping.
Anyhow, very nicely done, on artistic terms. I love the depth your coloring has, without any outlines to distinguish the forms. Very skillful. I also enjoy the patterns on the critter's body. They remind me of Mesopotamian pottery or something. ^^
The texture of the paper works nicely with the piece, too.

Yah, it does look like one, but that was not the point of the questionnaire. One ooooooother Pokemon inspired this character. You would not know as it is a 4th generation Pokemon. Look up Bronzong and compare it with this creature. Should help you understand better.
Thank you for your comment. ^^
