I like the colors here, and I like the mood you got here. Nice idea with the wings, what kind of bird are they meant to represent? I would think a phenix, a raven or an eagle would be appropriate for him. I would think that the Silmarils would be a bit larger than that, but still, nice job.

I didn't think too much about what kind of birds those wings are meant to represent, but I would agree with you - it's most likely a phoenix.
As for the Silmarilli, since Feanor used to wear them on his forehead, I believe they couldn't be too big...

Well, upon my forehead each Silmaril could be about 3 inches in diameter and fit comfortably in a crown. I believe that if I held one in my hand (given I have girl hands) I would not be able to close my fingers all the way around one of the gems. I think that the Silmarilli were fairly large, especially for a gem. I would propose that each was around 2.5 inches in diameter across the face. I would draw you a picture if you were interested in my thoughts and I did not describe it well.

I think the Silmarilli has just a proper size. You know, there are lots of discussions about this, but I believe everything is right on your picture.
