well then 6.6 feet !
i was talking to one of the engineers and what he said was that the width of a dime is all the touches the track and the driver wheels are spaced out so all the track has contact from all the wheels !
if what i'm saying makes sense - it's late !

thanks - IMO the black exhaust smoke really makes it.....but she's so shiny and black - it's hard to get better detail on her (?)
i get to repeat it this week-end weather permitting when she makes her annual cheyenne frontier days run between denver, co and cheyenne, wy

Sounds like fun.
We haven't had any steam action around here since the C&O 614 stopped pulling excursions from Hoboken to Port Jervis in the late 1990s.
