That is one hiarious situation! Though when that happened to me, it was the other way round. This will sound very embarrassing, but my dad watches anime with me D: Nah I asked him to, but yeah, he watches Hetalia and he's always laughing at references to countries and I'm like "Oh no, my dad has the mind of a teen girl otaku!

that's not that bad. In my history class, we were talking about the fight of the Romans and the Helvatii (AKA Italians and the Germans) and we went into this entire 15 minute tangent about how the Germans were giant 6'2 men running around naked and fighting the Italians. I had to ask to leave the room to let out all the laughs. ^_^;

Pfffffffffthaha! I know exactly how you feel!
In my school we were doing this thing where half the year had to be Nazi kids and half the year had to be Jews (I have a weird school) and I was telling my mum that I was going to one of the Nazi kids and she said "Well, no invading Poland."
She didn't understand why I couldn't stop laughing.

I get it. My friend did something similar. My one teacher said Germany to me and she started cracking up. I knew why she was laughing it was kind of embarassing though.

In my German class, we were reading about a story with these two guys and interpreting what it meant. (Ironically, it was by Franz Kafka). One of my classmates said it might be a metaphor to the Cold War and instead of this scrawny old guy and this huge Russian, the picture changed to Russia and America and I nearly headdesked. Then they started talking about how the guy standing by 'America' might not be Russia but someone in his way, and I thought of poor little Latvia standing there trying to stop America from reaching Russia.

xD We were in civics yesterday and we were talking about the Declaration of Independence and how we had a good "relationship" with the U.S. until we got mad, and I remembered when England left and came back a few hours later and America was all grown up. So I was picturing America going off on England.

rofl First day of my American Government class, we were asked what we knew about our independence, and one of my classmates went 'England's a jerk!' I cracked up so hard. Thankfully, I wasn't the only one laughing, so I was spared odd looks (though I had a different reason for laughing than everyone else).
