Description
A male Screech Owl. This bird is a rehab bird that only has one eye. He is doing fantastic though and has been able to adapt to only having one eye incredibly well! He was recently released back to the wild.Feel free to use my photos as references and stock. Please give me credit if you use my photo! I would love to see what you make, so send me a link!

I photographed a one eyed Great Horned Owl recently. He was perched on a log waiting for a meal to come to him, & instead of flying off after an hour and a half, he just sauntered up the log & into the bush. Other than his eye, he did appear to be healthy & well fed.

Owls tend to do pretty well with one eye since they rely so heavily on their hearing when they hunt. That's really cool you had that chance!

Yea, he only has one eye due to being hit by a car. He recovered well enough, even without that eye, to be released back to the wild.

Aw that is AMAZING! I Love this little guy, and I don't know why! Hes amazing!
We actually had an owl with a broken wing on our place not too long ago, but before we could get someone to pick him up, we lost track of him 
However, I love to hear success stories like this, makes life that much sweeter~

I was glad I could get a couple nice photos of him. I was even happier to know he was able to be released. It's amazing just how resilient these little guys can be
