Description
Drawn from the very first moth I've seen since last Autumn (It's just heading into spring here in Australia) and probably influenced by look around Elfwood ([link] ) too much recently
Notes:
Wings done in Open canvas 4
Monotone body done in Corel painter
Hair lost some detail somewhere along the way
Done using a wacom tablet
...and can you spot the absurdy happy smiling face? *^_^*

There is no higher res, it was just a small sketch to fill in time really, what you see is the size and resolution it was done in.

Moths are far prettier than butterflies and this is a perfect example. The coloring is nice and subtle with those "eyes" popping nicely. ; )

i find this inspiring, cuz i've wanted to do a series of wings like that. but i've been criticized a lot, for drawing ppl from the back. this gives me courage^^
