Mario's got some nice hips here and Vivian is very pretty (though I think it's really a boy in Japanese... Isn't it?)
I really like this piece but I must confess that Mario seems a bit odd in the face so that kinda bothers me. Like his a bit girly

I can understand. I've looked through your gallery and I must say you draw some beautiful figures. I see that as a strong advantage for you. Not that Mario being girly is a bad thing, it works rather well here due to the style and setting.
I think the gender tends to change depending on where it was released. I kinda consider Vivian a male since that was original what s/he was.

Seems that you're right about Vivian's gender being switched depending on where Paper Mario 2 is sold in the world. Man, if people want to be offended by a ghostly chara who has crossdressing tendencies, wtf, why do they watch stuff like Jerry Springer on tv?! (I'm looking at YOU, America)
Male of female, I still dig Vivian and think that she is the funnest chara in the game to party with... Well, Goombella is a lotta fun and is cute, too. x3

I agree that s/he is a fun character and in a way I think drawing out either gender makes it kinda fun since I support either gender of Vivian when it comes to fanart. Shows how the fans think Vivian is best as. I think the American Nintendo company might have been scared of younger kids picking up the game and getting confused but that's my theory on why Vivian changed (Birdo had a similar case I believe)

And yes, Vivian is very cute. She quickly became my favorite Mario girl following this game...and considering her popularity, I think Nintendo should incorporate her into more Mario games...but I suppose there would be that whole gender thing between multiple countries...

Hm, yah! Vivan should be in the Mario sports games, like Mario Kart! But the Mario rpg series usually never uses the side characters in any other Mario games. ._.

Sadly no...which is why we never saw Geno again (excluding Mario and Luigi)...that, and Miyamoto apparently HATED the character...not sure why.
But if this world was a more just one, Vivian and Geno would be there with Petey Piranha and Donkey Kong in every Mario Sports Anything.
