José Carioca has traveled quite a bit. But here is home. Here is friends and family. Here is where his heart belongs.....in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil! "Eu Amo Rio" he says.I'll be slowly getting ready for my departure for Brazil soon. I'm so excited! I plan on traveling a lot next year and I'll be in Rio de Janeiro for Carnaval. I can't wait!
I think I made the lineart a little too thick for this piece. I'll let you be the judge. Normally Disney's linearts for their characters are either thin or REALLY thick (like for coloring books, etc). My idea at first was too have him playing a guitar or something on a terrace. But I changed my mind.
Yes, that's Christ the Redeemer in the background, drew that myself and shrunk it down for the pic.

Your artwork is very nice. Corcovado hill was chosen to place the Christ the Redeemer statue because is the Rio's highest peak (700 mt.).

I live near by Rio and you are right, it's a great city. Sometimes can be a little chaotic and violent in someplaces, but always beautiful, charm, hot, happy, intense and fantastic.
