More Phantom of the Opera fanart; Leroux-Erik. Or Lerik. Or just Erik. The one and only canon Phantom.After delving into the ALW-fandom for a while, I had to go back to the roots
An anatomical/character study more than anything else. I tend to avoid drawing Erik's skeltal hands and general skeletal body, because it.is.so.darn.difficult. and I am so.darn.lazy. So this was highly called for

You know, drawing Erik is like one big anatatomy -lesson. Even if it's just his face. He's basically all bone and muscle, so one really gets a feeling of how the human body is built up. It actually comes in real handy when I'm drawing "normal" characters too.

YES! I feel like there isn't enough Leroux Christine love...there's a fair amount of Kay Christine love out there, but the original Christine gets sadly neglected.

Heh, I'm guilty of that crime myself; most of the time, I draw a dark-haired ALW-inspired Christine...But I really do prefer Leroux- Christine. I always found her a more interesting character than in the Kay and ALW versions (both of which I enjoy reading/watching, don't get me wrong). And a very strong character, too, keeping in mind that the story was written over a century ago.
