Description
Everyone knows Shepard got fed up with the Milky Way after the Reaper war and took off with her friends to help explore the Andromeda galaxy.Mass Effect Exaltation aka MEA: II where Shepard and Ryder work together to stop the Kett.
In my mind Ryder would totally fangirl around Shepard who'd be an excellent mentor for Ryder. And they would totally kick arse together!

Really like the idea of Shepard and Ryder teaming up!
I’ve got the idea too, though different from yours in what happens, in my main Mass Effect universe which I’ve called ‘The Cherry Blossom and the Angara’. My female!Shepard is Hana Shepard and my female!Ryder is Sakura Ryder.
Basically, my version of the idea I’ve cooked up involves- the Reapers are eldritch abominations. And there’s these unseen eldritch abominations that we don’t see that are above them, that are using the Milky Way as a ‘giant sandbox’ for experiments. These cycles are their experiments, the Reapers their tools. They, and the Reapers, don’t care about escapees out of trillions of beings in the galaxy, they are not interested in any other galaxies, just the Milky Way. Oh, and trying to find out the truth about the Reapers? You completely lose it, and either go psycho or start writing on the walls in blood. (I didn’t like what canon did in Mass Effect 3 with the Reapers, so I changed that, and the Crucible’s nature too.)
There’s no Catalyst, but there will be a hologram used by Harbinger to assume a ‘form you are comfortable with’ to trick those less fortunate than Hana into activating the Crucible, which is really a trap in this universe.
But all hope is not lost, I have the idea that not all the ‘Benefactors’ of the Andromeda Initiative left the Milky Way, some stayed to help further Ark waves leave during the Reaper war up until the very end, when Hana leaves, all Arks are headed out to Andromeda. And Liara finds out and uses her immense Shadow Broker resources to assist.
What will happen is that Hana Shepard and those of her team and crew who survived will leave on one of the Arks, which is called ‘A New Hope.’ Plus, the Normandy is stored into one of the hangar bays safely for the 634 year long voyage between galaxies...
After all, the potential is too great to waste...Team Hana Shepard and Team Sakura Ryder...it would be time for Kett butt kicking!

I absolutely love it. Both the render and the idea. Its actually funnily something I thought of since one of my OC's is the cousin of Shepard and is in Andromeda galaxy. So I was thinking of him turning up in Andromeda.
Really love how the render looks. Also they both look badass

I love this, and I love your headcannon for it too! I might try to post this to a Facebook page I admin called Mass Effect Female Shepard, if you're willing. I collect various piece of fanart and today I'm collecting permissions (better to have a list of permissions but only need one of them, than to want to post something but not have acquired permission to do so).
Given that you've made a note on reposting, you don't have to get back to me (I'm guessing you're OK as long as reference is made to you as artist, and a link back to the original here is provided) but it would be nice to know I have your permission first. Also (just noticed you have a Facebook page), if for example you've got this one on Facebook, you could tell me where to find it and I'll instead 'share' it from your page there. That way I might draw more attention to your page!
Lovely work anyhow, and thanks for the cheerful thought of an Andromeda II!

ROFL! -[FACEPALM]-
I don't know why but I misread your name on here and thought you were a different artist! Now I know it's you (duh) I already KNOW you have a Facebook page and in fact have already shared some stuff from there recently because it's awesome. I'm such a muppet sometimes.
LoL, have NOT forgotten you and your amazing works. Swear to you! I've been meaning to share the written review you made of Andromeda for a while, because I thought it was good. Not sure if I got around to that or not - admttedly my memory is terrible, but it's not THAT terrible. LoL. Anyways, this is a lovely piece, and I love the idea behind it.

Haha! I thought it was a little odd, but didn't want to seem rude by pointing it out.
It would have seemed big headed. But I'm the same sometimes! Scatterbrained.
Oh, I'm glad you thought it was good. I went back and read it and thought maybe I was too hard on it.
But I feel like I pointed out a lot of the positives as well.
And thank you!
So glad to hear you like it.
I dunno, I feel like at least one of all my Shepards would have been like: hell yeah, a new galaxy, sign me up!
I almost feel like writing a fanfic about it. Like a crossover one.

You know, except for Shepard being dead at the end of ME3.

Only if you got a bad ending.
Your Shepard might be dead, but I'm pretty sure a lot of other people's Shepards aren't.

"Bad ending". Even if Shepard did everything right, two out of three endings result in Shepard's death. That's not even counting the original difficulty of saving Shepard in the third ending, which required time in multiplayer mode. Out of sixteen actual potential ends, Shepard lives in maybe two of them, and people are obsessed with just the one. I'm especially irked that Shepard's survival in that one is a narrative cop-out and all the more unsatisfying for it.

Still two endings where Shepard lives, so your "Shepard is dead" argument doesn't really work. That was all I was saying.

Some people need sad endings to justify trauma they've been through themselves as one of many less healthy coping mechanisms.
Some people want sad endings because they're emotion-vacationing and on the contrary have been through nothing bad so they just want to feel it.
[The latter isn't always as bad as it sounds - it may be for fun, or the motivation might actually be that the person wants to adjust their personal perspective, and to keep in mind an acknowledgement that in real life their own experiences might be happy, but a lot of other people's aren't... So experiencing sad stories, helps them to feel more aware that other people might need help, to not turn a blind eye, and to show compassion.]
Some people need happy endings to justify happy experiences they're used to living with, which might just be a time of life they're living in at the moment that they want to relish, or it might have a less pleasant aspect of comfort in assuming 'life isn't that bad'. Obviously, the latter can really muck with a person's perspective of the world, and lead them to show a lack of compassion and make painful presumptions.
At the same time though, you've also got people who need happy endings to counter trauma they've been through. Sometimes that might stem from denial, but other times, it might be all that keeps a person sane, and keeps them alive after what otherwise has been a hopelessly miserable experience of life thus-far. For them, happy endings are the embodiment of hope. They want the pain they've gone through to mean something, and they want it to count for something, and they want to find a way to balance the cost with a reward - a happy ending is just such a reward.
My point in giving these examples is that I think it's dangerous to throw judgement around especially for this particular computer game, which was so inclusive of so many fans from so very many walks of life, for what is the 'right' way to end it. It's very personal, and totally hinges on where you yourself are coming from in terms of perspective.
Now, the fact that there are variations in the ending, means that a cross-over game as dreamed by this artist will never happen (well not unless game-making becomes feasible as a personal endeavour or task you set your personal companion AI to create for you). However, that doesn't make the premise of the concept any less legitimate or authentic (until an actual sequel is made).
It's bad social/psychological practise to rubbish someone else's ideas when what's involved in the discussion are themes that may be (as they often are) so emotionally connected to that person. You might be 'irked', but no more than this person is for not getting what they wanted/needed either. In that, really you're on the same page!
