this weapon is the remake of my Dark Sword [link] it is meant to have a villainous appearance.I drew out the line art and colored it entirely in photoshop.
I know the design is a bit simple but I really like the point of the blade and the dragon-scale pattern on the handle.

i like its overall porportions! but the grea area between handle and blade is in need of some funky details

I see where you're going... but there's another way...
The functional aspect of that area is to parry an attack with blunting the sharpened blade...
Adding a bit of decoration to the handle, and elaborating the scales would be better.

It's shape is making this sword good enough for either a Demon Slayer, Dark Knight or maybe some Dark Lord... I like it!

I like the colors, although the transition between the handle and the hilt seems strange to me... anyways, its a nice work

the handle and the guard you mean? there really isn't anything specific that defines or separates them on this piece which is unusual but it let me continue the scale design all the way up to the start or the ricasso.

that happens to me all the time, if it comes out good keep it if it comes out not so good then still keep it because then you have a reference for what not to do. seriously I have hundreds of designs that are terrible and some that are okay but not worth posting and a few that I want to redo before I post them. don't think you have to get it right the first time.

I know you're not supposed to get it right the first time.. but strangely I still expect it.. and.. get disapointed.. lol... I think I need to just relax and do it for fun... no expectations at all.
