Description
The concept of this was originally these two designs being one character, with a human disguise, and the other being a true form as a guardian angel and/or demon of temptation in plain sight. I’m willing to sell the designs separately or together. I listened to a lot of music for this one, especially Fair to Midland’s “Musical Chairs” www.youtube.com/watch?v=VsDJih…EDIT: The human design is now owned by
The second design is owned by me!

Oh my god, I've never done a spider character! That sounds so cool! I have so much to do before hand, but thanks for the inspiration!

lol well the half snake, half pterodactyl, and half scorpion are wild and came out really cool I think... id probably have more nudity if I could draw like you... like more boobage and long wieners and thing lol XD

Haha, I don't mind doing nudity, and I admit I miss doing detailed studies of the figure. I think one of the only reasons I've steered away from it now is because I've noticed some of my watchers appear to be teenagers, but personally I think the body is beautiful and should be celebrated.

ok yup well you could put "mature content" warnings on it right ? and yeah ive actually tried taking a figure drawing class in college... I have no special talent with drawing, so my art was nothing to write home about... have you drawn from live nudes before?

Haha, I could, good point!
No, but I wish I could. I've been tempted to ask my boyfriend to model for me, but I'm not sure how comfortable he would be with it.
Seriously, if you draw enough, you can only get better. If you truly want it, you'll keep trying.

yeah that's part of it too-- I just don't think I have the patience to sit there for as long as it takes to finish drawings usually, at least at my speed of painstaking corrections etc. and ok yeah not every guy would be willing to donate his body for the cause of art I guess ive actually had my current roommate pose nude for me (lol if I didn't mention that in another comment), and he doesn't mind having his long wiener flopping around and being drawn heh... ive also just learned about anatomy drawing him and the models in class, u know?

That and being involved in photography should help. You know what looks right and what doesn't as a result, I imagine, and have a better sense of perspective. I would keep asking your roommate to pose for you and play around with reference photos as well. I use references from magazines, photos, and online when I need help with anatomy or poses.

yeah I hear you... I actually notice a slight difference between drawing from a 3D live model vs drawing from a 2D flat model in a magazine. Like I think it gives me more or better practice when I draw from a real 3D model-- just the recognition of depth or whatever. that and getting to have a hot ass etc in my face heh :]

Yes I noticed it when we had three hour long drawing classes , then afterwards objects would just sort of pop out in the world as I looked around... And haha yeah just posted a photo of his booty when he was posing for me it's shaped like a basketball heh

Yeah or just check it out when u can-- the point of it is that Vermeer may have been a fraud of sorts... Lol well I don't want to piss of ur bf, he seems like an awesome guy . Had to post a couple big wiener shots of James too XD

Haha, no he didn't see anything. XD But yeah Vermeer had very beautiful, almost photo realistic paintings. I can see why such theories would emerge.

Lol ok good cause I just posted a ginormous boner shot XD yeah right exactly, the realism does seem unlikely in retrospect... Even Rembrandt had more "painterliness" to his paintings... Rembrandt was Less photographic ... With Vermeers stuff, the camera helping makes sense

EmbodimentOfWrath In reply to GenieOlives [2015-06-19 02:48:09 +0000 UTC]
Haha, I saw that too. XD Vermeer could have very easily used a camera obscura, which can be dated back as far as ancient Egypt and survived well past Vermeer's time.

Lol ok yup , it's like a living breathing log or something heh anyway... Ok yeah I was kind of saying to my friend that it would still require some skill to use whatever device he used to get the paint on the canvas anyway, but yeah... Was there an elementary camera in ancient Egypt? I didn't realize that

EmbodimentOfWrath In reply to GenieOlives [2015-06-21 01:12:19 +0000 UTC]
Yes there was, which I found surprising since their art isn't considered realistic, save for some of the sculpture and sarcophaguses! If I remember correctly, the camera was used more for geography and architecture purposes.
Also, tracing is hard. I've tried tracing my own work, and it always looked horrible! That and he also still had to put in all the color, shading, ect. I imagine he had some skill!

Sorry it took me so long to reply! I wanted to be an archeologist or historian for a long time. I love history, especially European and Egyptian.
And honestly, it doesn't matter if he did trace the paintings, I still think we got beautiful art out of it.

that's cool, I have a friend who went to another college in NYC who majored in archaeology... I thought about that a bit too in freshman year... like this romantic idea of being like Indiana Jones basically.... my friend actually did it and I think she found out that its a lot less romantic and just got very tedious... she did go on a "dig" (I think in Italy), I haven't spoken to her in a while... I think you can spend just hundreds of hours scraping over the same stretch of ground in a quarry or whatever... like archaeology is a major that sounds super cool, but you probably have to accept the idea that it wont be like Indiana jones, for most students anyway...

EmbodimentOfWrath In reply to GenieOlives [2015-06-29 23:17:08 +0000 UTC]
Truthfully, that's exactly one of the reasons I gave that dream up. I wanted the excitement of discoveries, the romantic feel of unearthing history. But then again, you never really consider that the "unearthing" bit is quite literal and a lot of work.

GenieOlives In reply to EmbodimentOfWrath [2015-06-29 23:22:49 +0000 UTC]
yeah totally... I think freshman year archaeology students have to be told by people that if they want to be Indiana jones they should get out of the major... what ive heard anyway
