An entry for 's rainbow character design contest which can be found here: riuuzu.deviantart.com/journal/…I have had this design in my head all weekend, even before finding this contest. This is my original version of Bast, also called Bastet, the Egyptian goddess of music, dance, protection, and love. I used all the colors of the rainbow and I am overwhelmed that this is the most color I've put into anything. I love the result!
I listened to a lot of Lindsey Stirling as I drew this. And despite this being a rainbow contest, I find it ironic that I channeled the Song "Shadows" best. I can see Bastet dancing to this one. m.youtube.com/watch?v=JGCsyshU…
