This is what I entered in my school's pumpkin carving contest... I drew up a preliminary piece in my sketchbook... but I don't have access to a scanner right now. It only varies slightly...But, yeah. This is it. 2 ft tall. Carved in almost 3 hours exactly--including transfer of the design. It's 3-D relief about an inch and a half deep and tinted with some Dr. Martin concentrated water color for added effect--really made it stand out.
And as not to be a whiney bitch, I've deleted my whole big rant about my school and their crappy prizes. Sometimes life is good.. sometimes it's not. But, oh, well. I was afforded the oppurtunity to create what I created. And I like the result.. My only regret is that this couldn't be something that I could still have around today. Oh, well.
At least I've got the pictures to remember it by.

Indeed! It was just a matter of misrepresentation. The prior year had been multiple hundreds of dollars. That year.. it was like.. a t-shirt. LoL Or something like that. I was upset about it but got over it which is why I deleted my angry ranting. It only seemed important at the time because I had no other source of income other than to win things. LoL Ah, youth.

Wow, that's quite the shift. But I can relate... I had a very irritating $100 graphics job recently, and when I finally finished it, she didn't like it...so I got zip. That's my $40 cut compared to $7.50 a week otherwise... needless to say, I will be asking for down payments from now on.

whoa. that must be the coolest pumpkin ever. yea defineitly deserve first place and a great prize.. yes now im pissed off u didnt get more than what u got. the fact that they didnt tell you the prizes beforehand it fukked up..i think u should complain.. i really do..tell them it is unfair that no one was aware of the prize changes.. maybe someone will do soemthin about it..
