Description (Will be moved to Scraps as progress... well, progresses.)

Some design ideas I have for Tron-themed costumes, connected to the upcoming release of Tron Legacy in about two months. The outfits would be made largely from black and/or gray fabric, with silver reflective tape to represent the illuminated sections of the suit (they show up REALLY well in flash photos, and don't require any power).

Opinions and suggestions are greatly appreciated, and as things are very much still in the conceptual stage, things can change easily. So tell me...

WHICH DO YOU PREFER?
1. Trechcoat
2. Jacket
3. Vest
4. Cloak
5. Symmetrical Armor
6. Asymmetrical armor
7. Other (please notate)

Jacket and Symmetrical Armor are my favorites, especially the Armor as it reminds me of original tron

Vest is boss, though some more armor in a few choice places could really, really add to it.

Trenchcoat and cloak look badass but for the Tron-y look I'd say go for 5.

There actually are examples of both the trench and cloak in the new movie (Kevin Flynn and Clu2, respectively)... though I think I want to find some cheap motocross-style armor to go under it anyway.

That reminds me, I ought to get out to see the movie or at least rent it. Doesn't surprise me that the new movie has cloak and trenchcoat in it. I was thinking classic Tron. Funny part is I didn't really see much of old Tron, only bits and pieces when it was on TV. Never all the way through. Always caught it late for some reason.

I'm liking the trench coat, for appearance sake, but 5 or 6 are the most Tron-looking.

I like 1 the best.

Definitely a more mysterious look... I did that one patterned very loosely after some images we've seen of Kevin Flynn in the new movie.

It's also the closest to normal clothes. You could probably wear it in public.

I LIKE 2.

I like the jacket, and especially the placement of the silver tape on the pants.

Well, placement isn't final... I could easily use pants #2 with the vest from #3, or vice versa... but that's another vote on the stack!

Not sure that I want to go the EL-wire route. While you get some awesome effects, it's a lot more expensive, and you have to be careful to keep the wire functioning correctly. Do it with the reflective tape, and it illuminates with nothing more than a camera flash.
