He did commission it so the reasoning behind it is pretty relevant. I know you're probably meaning that a mammal isn't a good analog for a theropod, but this is also a speculative evolution project. I tend to think that given enough time, the front heavy (though I guess not too front heavy according to Henderson to be bipedal) monster could have developed adaptions to actually be able to walk like this. It's fun to imagine possibilities and use paleo theories (which may or may not be agreed upon) to design creatures.

I love it because of how quickly its depictions are changing. Would like to see a complete skeleton at some point, but it is fun watching people try to figure it out.
