There is no correct answer considering Lewis Carroll admitted that there was no answer intended. Coming up with answers is just for pure amusement. There is no right or wrong answer. You could answer with neither is made of aluminum foil and it would be acceptable.

Not quite "original answer". It's Carroll's answer, yes, but originally (as mentioned in the artist's comments) he didn't intend for there to be an answer at all. he only came up with one later after everyone clamoured for an answer.

B) They are almost never turned the wrong way.
-A writing desk has little use backwards, because you can't sit behind it.
