Well, these things have been fascinating to look at, but I didn't think I'd get a chance to try - now that one of my publishers have requested us to have a go (you should check out Sonia Leong's as well!), I'm really glad I did!It's amazing how you can look at friends' maps and totally see how they came to their style - and I think I can see a lot of that in mine as well! Very surreal. I wish I could have sourced a full page for Keiko Nishi - she really was a huge inspiration, but i don't want to bend my book to scan it! Precioussss. ^_^
Also, I'm kicking myself for not adding an Amy Reeder pic in as she totally inpired my inking!

the voice work and adaptation in the arislan dub is one of the best ever done. Hands down. It was superb.

I do love the simplicity of the Takashi's art but I prefer Mitsuru Adachi's stroies.

I had the Legend of Arislan on Manga Video on VHS and FF8 has always been criminally underrated, I mean if nothing else from a visual design point of view it's just brilliant, just downloaded it again a few months back from the PSN store and have been playing it on my PSP, great game! I need to post mine up of these. In fact I'm going to do it now before I forget. Can see where the influences fit into your style.

Its very interesting to see your influences, I mean your style has always been alot more elegant/realist based compared to a lot of artists I know, so its great to see how your influences may have been more elegant/realist compared to other artists influences too!

Uwaaah o_o So these are the influences behind your work ... as with all the other maps I've looked at, you can really see bits and pieces of these in your work, and how they all come together to form your style ^_^ It's fascinating to look at.

Many of these that I have seen look more like "artists and things I like", but in yours you can almost see how they influenced.
