Misty will NEVER come back
she has absolutely no reason to come back
Masamitsu hidaka, the director of the Pokemon anime until battle frontier said and I quote: "Misty will never return as a female protagonist"

So please, if you really are pokemon fans, get your delusional minds out of the clouds, accept the truth and STOP BADGERING THEM

Well,if you look at Change.org all you can find is Serena to Alola. Not that I have something against it,but there are like hundreds of them.

otnesse [2019-01-12 20:25:54 +0000 UTC]

Well, Misty and Brock did return, twice, and there's also some hints that they'll be returning for a third time based on them saying they would like to return to Alola again (and yes, they did specifically say "return to Alola").

And she does have ONE reason going for her to return, and that's to have her resume her dream of becoming a Water Pokémon Master. At least the other cast members, yes, Brock included, either continued their goal without Ash or at the very least changed their goals of their own free will. Misty's goal was stolen from her. Won't stop until she actually resumes her Water Pokémon Master goal, even with the Gym Leaders' honor being restored largely thanks to those two. You can read up on a more thorough explanation here by a friend of mine: www.pokecommunity.com/showthre… At the very least, she has a LOT more reason to return than May, Dawn, or Serena do (or, heck, even Iris if I must state, and I actually LIKE Iris and think its a shame that she didn't get a chance to have an encore appearance).

There, you happy?

Well, I'm glad that there's at least another chance at her resuming her Water Pokémon Master goal before the end of SM (at this point, I don't even care if she returns to the main cast, just that she resume her original goal at the very least, which she could do by herself or with Ash.).

otnesse In reply to EmperorPalpitoad [2019-01-24 00:09:11 +0000 UTC]

Join the club, especially after how Ash was treated very badly by being forced out of his goal of being a Pokémon Master to basically go to school, barely even focusing on his school related stuff as it is. And his Steven Universe redesign doesn't help matters either. Misty and Brock returning are pretty much the only good things about SM (that, and their actually bringing in the Alola league). All I can hope for now is that Ash actually win the Alola league. What's even more sad is that all of this crap Ash is going through could have been avoided, yet the writers insisted on the status quo being preserved in Kalos despite all the hints that he'll win, not to mention the early release stuff indicating that Alola at the very least wasn't going to have gyms. Sheesh, had I been the writers, I would have used the pre-release stuff about Alola not having gyms and possibly creating your own league to either have Ash win Kalos so he can be retired with dignity, or otherwise at the very least be dispatched to help set up a Pokémon League. So yeah, I know exactly why you aren't fond of SM, because I'm not fond of it either.

BTW, Bender had me laughing in this pic.

In the same appearance as their origional appearance, too

It's on youtube, but idk if it's really or not, but it seems real to me :/

stormpuma [2017-06-17 18:45:47 +0000 UTC]

Misty was not that special to begin with. I don't hate her personally, but I wish those genwunners would understand that she's a character like any other.

I think my theory here is they don't put Misty in future anime episodes because the "fans" keep asking for her return.

The more you ask for something, the less the guys are gonna care, and the slimmer the chances get that you'll get what you want.

Also, she's a Gym Leader. Gym Leaders hardly ever get out of their Gyms.

I don't know, after all, Megaman was the most requested character in Smash 4.

EmperorPalpitoad In reply to stormpuma [2017-06-17 23:49:42 +0000 UTC]

no, Megaman was requested more than them

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stormpuma In reply to EmperorPalpitoad [2017-06-18 16:13:51 +0000 UTC]

Maybe that was an exception. At least most of them didn't resort to bashing on people that don't want Mega Man in Smash 4.

As for Misty, I don't even feel any empathy towards her. I just wish for her popularity to just go away. She's just as overrated as Sonic.

And it hurts me to say that, really, because I kinda liked her a little bit while I was younger.

Fucking genwunners need to let go of their nostalgia and just let the others enjoy their Pokémon stuff.

EmperorPalpitoad In reply to stormpuma [2017-06-18 16:56:31 +0000 UTC]

1. Because almost nobody hates megaman

2. well......yeah

3. You liked her? Why don't you anymore

4. again, I agree with you.

stormpuma In reply to EmperorPalpitoad [2017-06-18 19:39:01 +0000 UTC]

I'll be honest. The only Pokémon anime episodes I ever watched were about Gen 1, so Misty was my top favourite, only because she was the female... and I was a kid.

And only that.

---

Now I don't, because genwunners give her too much merit, and decides that the other female Pokémon protagonists suck, and the only one that is worth liking is Misty, yet again!

Dawn is my favourite Pokémon character, by the way, and she gets hated on for being a "Mary Sue". Do they even know what "Mary Sue" means?

Except I don't care about the anime anymore!

Also, you can't even mention Serena without someone talking about Ash!

Considering that the anime came from the games, that's kinda insulting, even for a protagonist.

And don't get me started on the kissing part!

Yes, I hate love stories. I'm 21 and I still hate this whole love crap.

EmperorPalpitoad In reply to stormpuma [2017-06-19 20:57:48 +0000 UTC]

how is an anime based on the games "insulting?"

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stormpuma In reply to EmperorPalpitoad [2017-06-19 22:11:05 +0000 UTC]

Serena is the main protagonist of the XY games. I don't want to bash on Ash Ketchum or anything, but seen as the poor girl has been de-protagonized by Ash in the anime. Serena is now just reduced to a status of a lovestruck sidekick. And that made me sick.

Like I said, you can't even mention Serena, Dawn, May or any other Pokémon protagonist without someone mentioning Ash.

That's how I see the Pokémon anime. They put their own character just like a fanfic artist writes their "Original fan character, do not steal" in an already existing series.
(Have you already seen a Sonic fanfic? Ugh!)

Except Ash is the most popular (and the most lucky) OC since he got a game based on his own adventures: Pokémon Yellow, with that one Pikachu that refuses to evolve.

Don't be surprised if Ash continues to "Mary Sue" his way through another region, dying every time and then being revived!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

stormpuma In reply to EmperorPalpitoad [2017-06-19 23:13:50 +0000 UTC]

Yeah. Pretty much. Most of the information I got from the other Generations is from the Internet. People keep talking about it, it's like really popular! It's just everywhere!

IMO, it might be more interesting to have different protagonists for each Generation. Just like in the games, and avoid such things as Pikachu being able to take down an Onix, even though electricity is "not very effective" against Rock-Ground Types.

Also, if I seem persistent, just know that my purpose is NOT to anger or change anyone. I'm just not a fan of the "keep it to yourself" argument.

I just thought about our yesterday discussion and I noticed it turned really bad.

Having noticed this shitstorm is in all entirety my fault, I have decided to redeem myself from my (not-so) past mistakes.

Another "Stop the Bash" episode has been released, and I hope you'll enjoy a little bit.

Stop the Bash: Episode 7Stop the Bash: Episode 7 (Ash Ketchum)
"But Stormpuma, I thought you hated his guts! Why are you supporting him now?"
Well, I hate to say this, but I'm kinda forced to do it. You know why? Because it's my duty as a "Stopper of Bashers"! Yes, I don't like him really much, but I think you, or should I say WE, need to take a chill pill and just focus on the games if we don't like Ash that much.
Because really, such hatred is not healthy. I already said this about hating on Hatsune Miku, and I'll say it again, but this time, about Ketchup Boy.
As a fellow hater, I still know this character has one of the worst fandoms ever, next to Miku (Vocaloid), Madoka (Madoka Magica), every Pokémon girl ever after Gen 1, Orihime (Bleach), Caillou, Sonic, every Mario princess, and Dora the Explorer.
That's pretty much why, today, I'd like to redeem myself from my (not-so) past mistakes.
So, if you want something for me to judge, don't count on it too much, because, obviously I'm not good at it.
Poo

Just so you're aware, they also said that Ash's Pokémon that left him won't return to his party either, yet Charizard did in Best Wishes. And in fact, he actually fully returned to the party for the remainder of Unova and became an Oaked Pokémon when all probability pointed to him leaving back to Charcific Valley like in Johto and Battle Frontier before it. And don't get me started on how they acted as though Pokémon will always have the female being replaced and inferred that Brock will stay on the cast forever (that's no longer the case, come Best Wishes).

And as long as they're still airing shows, no matter how small of a chance, there is ultimately still a chance for her to come back, and for others to come back as well (besides, not all high probabilities work out anyways. If they did, America would still be British colonies anyways, no War of Independence.). Besides, they still need to fix up the screw up they made with her character by forcing her to become Gym Leader even when she made it pretty clear from various statements since GCYL that she didn't want to be a gym leader. Only way there's absolutely no chance of her coming back is if they cancel the anime in itself (and by that, I mean the entire anime franchise, not just the current Sun and Moon series, which is a likelihood given the bad ratings it's getting right now.). And I for one am not giving up until either the show is cancelled or they actually not only bring Misty back, but also make SURE she pursues her Water Pokemon Master goal. It's a fair request, since the other characters who traveled with Ash at least are pursuing their dream goals (or, in the case of Brock, at least changed his goal of his own free will, or even succeeded in their dream goal in the case of Tracey), while Misty had her goal stolen from her, not even allowed to pursue it thanks to that three month cruise that forced her to become a gym leader again.

Besides, Masamitsu Hidaka's no longer the director of Battle Frontier, and apparently he's no longer even involved in the anime anyways. And quite frankly, considering he didn't even know about Arceus or Shaymin despite even sites such as Serebii already being aware of their existence (not to mention at the time of the interview had already been publicizing the heck out of Shaymin in time for the movie), I can't say he's all that trustworthy of an opinion.
