Part of the meme I'm working on.So yeah, I decided this is about as OOC as it gets for McCoy: flirting with your OC. Seriously, the man's emotionally repressed and cares about nothing more than his job. Drawing him with such a serene facial expression was a challenge because it's so not like him.

It did to a certain degree because of the illusions. Hence McCoy freezing in front of a night and allowing himself to be impaled. The illusion distorted their psyches.
